The company’s network has been improved and protected with the integration of VOIP, proper segmentation using VLANs, SSH for remote management as well as the inclusion of a firewall and VPN for enhanced protection. Faster and more dependable performance is given by Gigabit Ethernet connections, and high availability of the network is achieved by using redundant links and network devices. Secure remote management of the network utilizing the SSH protocol, which allows cryptographic encryption of management communication between server and client, was installed to further increase network security. As a consequence, the network has been set up to allow for dynamic IP addresses with the use of a DHCP server in the network. Static IP addresses are designated for devices in the pool of predefined IP addresses. Using the default, end-to-end communication is feasible. A gateway of last resort, which is commonly defined in the default route configuration, is used to transport all unknown packets. As long as a router has a default route set, all packets that have no known destination address are forwarded to that route. All these upgrades have improved Al-Kalbani network performance and as a consequence has resulted in better productivity for the organization.
