My project involves the creation of an Augmented Reality (AR) indoor navigation system using the Unity game engine and C#. The system employs Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) and QR codes to achieve precise user localization and navigation within indoor spaces. To ensure efficient route planning, the Unity NavMesh component, utilizing the A* algorithm, is used to determine the shortest path between two points. The system also includes auditory cues to confirm chosen destinations and flying text to display the names of each position, enhancing user interaction and experience. The combination of these technologies enables real-time, visual guidance through AR, making it easier to navigate complex indoor environments such as universities, malls, and hospitals. This project demonstrates a practical application of AR in solving real-world navigation challenges.
