The Arab Open University (AOU) and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in support of Syrian refugee students in Jordan and Lebanon. The agreement was signed at SFD’s headquarters in Riyadh by Prof. Mohammad Bin Ibrahim Al-Zakri, AOU’s President, and Dr. Khalid Bin Sulaiman AlKhudairy, SFD’s Vice President and Managing Director.
On his part, Prof. Al-Zakri expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for their sustained attention in serving Syrian refugees at all levels.
The agreement aims to provide the opportunity for Syrian refugee students to complete their university study (bachelor’s degree and diploma) in various academic majors and training programs in order to enable them to be employed in the labor market in Jordan and Lebanon.
