The Training Center of the Arab Open University (AOU) concluded two training programs organized for a number of public and private bodies. The first five-day program entitled The Art of Communication and Skills of Negotiation was conducted by Dr. Anwar Al-Harbi, who addressed several topics including types and skills of successful negotiation, objective and desirable equality, alternatives and techniques of handling critical issues, ways of telephone negotiation on behalf of others, the right time for decision making, and the skills, basics, and challenges of communication art. Dr. Naji Abdalkhalq, Expert of consultation and training, delivered the later program called Skills of Future Manager, which was held from 15 to 19 October 2017. He introduced the concept of thinking and its functions, and addressed the patterns of thinking of future manager, the concept of management and its characteristics, skills and values of future manager, terminology of comprehensive quality in the management process, and means of institutional excellence.
At the end of the two programs, Dr. Sami Khalifa, Manager of the Center, valued the cooperation between the Center and a number of public and private bodies in the field of training and consultation, and the trust that the Center has been obtained.
Dr. Khalifa, in general, praised the participants in the Center’s programs and stressed the keenness of the Center on holding such training programs that meet their needs in consistence with the training and development requirements of some bodies and institutions. He pointed out that the University shows great interest in the issue of developing human resources through the development programs in accordance with the high standards of quality that contribute to outcomes that commensurate with the requirements of labor markets.
Dr. Khalifa called upon all participants to take advantage of all theoretical and practical information presented during the programs, as well as detect and enhance their strengths in order to overcome their weaknesses. Then, certificates were presented to the participants, as Dr. Khalifa wished them success.
