The AOU Board holds 58th meeting


    The Board of the Arab Open University (AOU) held its 58th meeting on 6 March 2017 at the AOU-HQ building. The meeting was headed by Prof. Moudi Al-Humoud, President of the AOU, and attended by Prof. Mohammad Hamadan, Advisor of the AOU, Vice Presidents, Deans, AOU branch Directors, a number of department directors, and representatives of AOU faculty members. 

   The meeting opened with the approval of the previous meeting’s minutes. Then, the board discussed the decisions and recommendation of both the previous board meeting and the academic committee.Then, it reviewed the AOU financial performance for the period from 01/09/2016 to 28/02/2017, the semi-annual AOU report for the period from September 2016 to January 2017, and the fourth strategic plan of the AOU (2017/2018-2021/2022). In addition, a number of topics were presented, including the best systematic practices for preparing the strategic plan for the University in Oman for the period of 2017 to 2021, the latest developments of institutional reaccreditation and academic programs, studies on the satisfaction of employers with graduates of the Lebanon AOU branch, the unit of relations and social responsibility, which was established in the Saudi Arabia Branch.
