Message from the Dean
Greetings from the Faculty of Business Studies at the Arab Open University.
I invite you to explore the largest faculty with its tracks, number of students and tutors and join me in discovering what FBS has made to understand the needs of our students by providing state-of-the-art curriculum to enable them to compete in the labour market, and to learn more why studying at the AOU has always been inherently flexible. We are proud to be part of the Open University Business School in UK with triple accreditations (AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS) awarded by the world’s leading international management education associations to fewer than 1% of business schools globally.
The FBS provides seven tracks to fulfill the needs of our students in Economics, System Practice, Accounting, Management, Marketing, Human Resources, and Finance. Once the students graduate from one of these tracks, the AOU awards them two different awards, one from AOU within each branch, and another award, validated by Open University in the UK, with which we are affiliated. These tracks are taught in conventional face-to-face smart classrooms, or in a blended learning using the digital technology. In addition to the BA program, the FBS offers a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and Oman Branches.
Our outstanding faculty members, from different parts of the world, take exceptional pride in assisting our students as they hone their research skills in an increasingly interconnected and changing world. They are dedicated professionals who provide an exceptional educational experiences, trainings, methodologies, regional case studies, viewpoints and approaches to bear on shared issues and concerns. On the other hand, our students, with over 50 different nationalities, are unique. They are mostly employed, aged between 25-50 and they all relish the different opportunities the AOU provides them. Once graduated, they go on to leadership positions in every business professional field.
